Recount with a Twist

On Monday 23rd July we had an immersion assembly where we found out our new topic is called move ya’ body. I am writing a recount with a twist. The twist is that there will be two truths and one lie in my paragraphs. You the person reading it will need to guess which ones are the truth and which one is a lie.

When I came to school I saw my friends John and George and we all said “sup” and then we talked about our holidays and what we got up to. I told the boys that I went to Rotorua with my family.

In assembly Mr Burt was dressed like Beyonce with a girl wig and short pants and a singlet and he was dancing weird with Mr Somerville and Mr J. Then Mr Goodwin decided to the kiki dance in front of the whole school he was alright.

Than the prefects came on the stage and they showed us some moves that we had to copy and dance to. The whole school got up and danced. I danced with my friends John and George.

My feelings were just being at school so I can talk to my friends so I was happy. Can you guess which one of my paragraphs is a lie? I am looking forward to learning about move ya’ body this term.
